Another fantastic run for Alex Botterill as he breaks his 800m club record again, this time clocking 1:46.82 at Bromley’s Twilight Meeting last Friday.
Scott Lincoln also broke his club record on the 16th of August, throwing the shot 20.65m which puts him 5th on the UK all-time list.
In Doncaster, it was PBs all round in the 800m: Tommy Shaw (2:05.78), Charlie Wright (2:09.40), Gianluca Mastrolonardo (2:15.30), Lottie Langan (2:20.03), William Chalk (2:33.28) and Annabelle Coxon (2:47.68). In the 100m, Tom Wood ran a PB (11.21) and Ryan Gorman (10.53), Rosie Hickling (13.51) and Syd Marshall (13.54) all ran season bests. The 200m also saw a PB for Tom Wood (23.09) whilst Syd Marshall clocked another SB (28.9) along with Megan Loney (26.55). Christina Nick won the Discus with a throw of 47.48m and James Palmer ran a 52.65 in the 400m.
In Trafford on 22nd of August, Scott Lincoln threw the shot over 20m for the second time this season, whilst George Phillips ran a PB in the 3000m (9:18.33). A big win by Luke Robinson was seen in the Javelin, with a throw of 55.06m. Abigail Sorrell threw 28.01m in her first javelin outing of the season.
The BMC Gold Standard event in Trafford last night saw Angus McMillan take the win and a PB in the 3000m B race, with a time of 8:25.62. Dan Cheeseman clocked his second fastest time of the season in the 1500m, this being 3:50.36.
