On Tuesday 15th at the Trafford BMC Gold Standard event, Angus McMillan and Tommy Shaw both achieved PBs, Angus clocking 3:52.13 in the 1500m and Tommy with 8:51.26 in the 3K. Well done lads.
It was great to see many of our athletes yesterday in Doncaster at the Run Jump Throw event. Despite the quite breezy conditions for most of the day, some athletes did achieve PBs: In the U13 age group, Kate Setchell ran a 200m PB (31.84) whilst Miles Watson and Annabelle Coxon ran 800m PBs (2:31.05 and 2:47.10, respectively). In the U15s, Rosie Hickling ran a 75m hurdles PB, this being 12.29. Lottie Langan and Amy Kennedy ran 1500m PBs, these being 4:46.81 and 5:02.27, respectively. In the U17s, Joseph O’Brien and Edward Brown achieved 1500m PBs, these being 4:03.67 and 4:48.11, respectively. Hannah Ellam (U20) gained a long jump PB of 5.34m. And finally, Andrea Greaves (SEN) threw a shot PB (9.02m) and a javelin PB (22.35m).
Well done to everyone – PBs, SBs or not, it’s wonderful to be competing in well planned, safe environments.
