Scott Lincoln came 18th in the Olympic games qualifying competition for the shot putt with a best throw of 20.42m. Unfortunately this was not enough to make the final which was the best 12 qualifiers.
Freya Vidal won the England Athletics U15 200m championships in a time of 25.76s.
Off Track Distance Races
18 members did parkrun this week. Steve Asquith won the Heslington event in 17.32 with Jessica Robertson-Dover bein 1st female in 21.50, ahead of her sister Sophie who was 3rd in 23.36. Tim Stratton and Kaitlin Keens were both first at Easingwold in 17.32 and 21.31 respectively. Tommy Shaw came 1st at England’s most northerly parkrun at Alnwick Castle in 17.32.
No members did the York Junior parkrun this week.
