There was no track and field news this week.

Off Track Distance Races

The biggest local road race took place in York on Sunday as thousands of runners took part in the Yorkshire Marathon and associated 10 miles race. Adam Bateman came 6th in the 10 miles event in a new personal best time of 55.49 to come 6th. Steve Asquith (62.25), Allan Scott (64.26), Andy Richardson (69.18) and Zara Meaby (70.22) also ran. Wesley Possible was the only runner from the club in the marathon as he ran 3.36.54.

Steve Wright was the first vet 60, by just 3 seconds, in the Scarborough 10k in a time of 41.18.

18 members took part in parkrun over the weekend. Mark Bolland-Cage won by nearly a Kilometre at Selby in a time of 16.29 from former member Emma Ballantyne. The Keens both came second at Easingwold with William running 17.38 and Kaitlin 21.32. Martha Sigsworth came 2nd at Knaresborough in 24.20. Hannah Lovett was the first runner across the line in the York junior parkrun in 8.08.
