Off Track Distance Races

37 runners from the club took part in the third race in the West Yorkshire Cross Country League at Cleckheaton on Sunday. The junior teams again dominated the team events as they won both under 17 categories as well as the under 15 boys and under 13 boys age groups. The under 15 girls came 2nd team whilst the under 13 girls were 6th.

Individually Isaac Stabler again came 2nd in the under 15 boy’s race with Lottie Langan coming 2nd in the under 17 women’s race. Aimee Keefe and Ollie Wright both came 3rd in the under 13 races. In the senior races Chrissie Dover led home an incomplete women’s team in 8th place overall which was also the first Vet 40. Jessica Hoar and Holly Moss were the first two under 20s in the senior women’s race. Tim Stratton was the first runner home from the club in the senior men’s race as he came 9th overall.

Angus McMillan came 11th in the UK Cross Challenge Cross Country race at Milton Keynes.

Seven runners from the club took part in the Dalby Dash 10k race on Sunday. Josh Breen led the club home in 9th place in a time of 37.32 with Nick Elliott (39.49), Mike Raynes (40.19), Wesley Possible (41.29), Alex Boynton (41.35), James Richardson (44.51) and Katie Brennan (54.51) also running.

10 runners from the club did parkrun on Saturday with William Keens again winning at Easingwold in 18.03 and Nina Hopkins coming 3rd at Heslington in 20.42.
