Weekly Round up – w/e 30th April

Track and Field

The 2023 YDL Upper season began on Sunday at the Costello Stadium in Hull. City of York attended with very strong teams across the U17 and U20 age groups with athletes showing tremendous commitment and excellent early-season form.

Despite the changeable weather and blustery wind, athletes coped with the conditions very well and PB’s were frequent throughout the day.

City of York had an outstanding day, scoring over 1000 points and finishing top of the table. The next closest team (Gateshead) were almost 400 points behind. A great start to the season!

The next fixture is at York in less than 4 weeks – Sunday 28th May.
