Angus McMillan ran a club outdoor 5000m record of 14.00.52 in last Wednesday’s BMC meeting in Birmingham as Kim Critchley’s old mark of 14.10.04 dating back to 1994 was finally beaten. Tommy Shaw ran 3.51.18 for 1500m at the same meeting.

Mark Bolland-Cage ran 4.16.86 to win the 1500m at the West Yorkshire Track and Field League last Wednesday.

Another club record was set at Friday night’s York University 5k road race as Ollie Wright ran 17.18 to reduce the under 13 record by 9 seconds. Beau Jamieson-Wannell (16.35) and Will Hardy (17.10) also ran. At the other end of the age spectrum Dave Lancaster ran 43.09 to come 2nd Vet 65 in the Walkington 10k near Hull. Mike Raynes (12th in 69.51) and Martin Briggs (41st in 79.38) ran the inaugural Bishop Wilton Beast trail/cross country race on Saturday morning on a very tough 8.5 miles course.

Angus McMillan did his first parkun at Ganavan Sands near Oban and broke the course record by 20 seconds with 15.39 on a course that wasn’t the fastest. William Keens again won at Easingwold in 17.18 with Chrissie Dover being the fastest female parkrunner from the club with 21.40. Josh Reid came 2nd in the York Junior parkrun with 8.37.
