Congratulations to Rowan Whittaker who came 3rd in the 300m race in the England Athletics U15 Championships in a time of 36.81 that was held in Birmingham over the weekend. Ben Foulger came 5th in the triple jump in 12.03m and 11th in the high jump with 1.62m. In the U17 age group Amy Kennedy came 6th in the 1500m Steeplechase with 5.23.88 whilst Lottie Langan came 8th in the 1500m with 4.42.85.
Road Running
Dave Lancaster ran 20.22 in Wednesday’s Leeds University 5k.
The club had an impressive 24 runners doing parkrun over the weekend with 6 first places. William Keens finally broke 17 minutes at Easingwold as he won in 16.59 with Lydia Scott also taking first place at this parkrun with 21.44. There was another club double at Dalby Forest as Gianluca Mastrolonardo (15.45) and Imogen Brown (21.12) both came first. Mark Bolland-Cage (16.32) came first at Selby with Tim Pattison winning at Congleton in 17.58 as he broke 18 minutes for 5k for the first time in a few years.
