Road Racing
Karen Wood broke her club vet 55 club record for 10k road by 13 seconds as she ran 42.52 in the Leeds Abbey Dash on Sunday. Karen was 2nd vet 55 in this popular race. Simon Bolland-Cage ran 32.03 in the same race.
There was a good turnout of 11 junior distance runners doing the University of York 5k on the cycle circuit on Friday night. There were PBs from William Hardy (16.15), James Bastow (17.46), Lucy Davey (19.00), Hannah Lovett (19.09) and Lydia Scott (19.21). Oskar Walker (18.58), Nick Lovett (20.33), Julie Mastrolonardo (21.07), Bea Thompson (21.47), Carys Briggs (21.50), Holly Miller (23.13) Ava Carter (23.45) and Bethany Ellerker (24.22).
Cross Country Racing
Mark Bolland-Cage was 2nd senior and 6th overall in the Cleethorpes open cross country race.
Parkrun
18 runners from the club did parkrun over the weekend. Isobel Madden came 1st at Selby in 19.50. Tim Pattison (18.0) and India Ibbotson (22.05) both came 2nd at Easingwold. Imogen Brown (22.20) and Harriet Brown (22.50) came 2nd at the North Yorkshire Water Park. There were junior age group wins for Noah Stipetic, Liv Hardy, Wilson Moisey-Smith, Sebastian Brown and Bethany Ellerker with veteran age group wins for Jon Blake and Michael Raynes. Noah Stipetic also came 1st in the York Junior Parkrun on Sunday.
