Daniel Kennedy ran 43m 32 in his first 10k in Sunday’s Ripon Jolly Holly 10k multi terrain race. Emily Rycroft (52m 27) and Andrew Kennedy (56m 36) also ran.
Parkrun
Two club records were broken on Christmas Day….honestly….and we’re not talking about most mince pies eaten on Christmas Day either.
Lottie Langan broke the long standing under 20 club record at parkrun with 17.15 on the Knavesmire with Chrissie Dover breaking her own vet 45 club record at parkrun with 19.20 at Selby. Multi eventer Frances Hogg experienced a very different side of the sport as she came 3rd on the Knavesmire with 18.36 with Ed Brown also coming 3rd out of over 1,000 parkrunners with 16.14 on the ‘Mire. Rafael Palmer continues to improve as he broke 20 minutes for the first time with 19.49. Jessica Robertson-Dover also edged closer to the 18 minute barrier with 18.03 at Selby with Olympic Triathlete Sam Dickinson winning at Andover with 16.38.
There was a large turnout of 26 members at the parkrun’s that took place on Saturday December 28th. Marianne Lowson came close to breaking 20 minutes as she ran 20.03 at Heslington to come 1st. Lucy Davey also came 1st at Wetherby in 21.33. There were 2nd places for Tim Pattison (18.23 at Roundhay Park), Katherine Wilcock (23.49 at Temple Newsam) and Julie Mastrolonardo (21.00 at Heslington) with India Ibbotson coming 3rd at Whitby in 22.43. There were veteran age group wins for Gary Ibbotson, Steve Wright, Allan Scott and Dave Lancaster with a junior age group win for George Ghosh.
