Road Racing

Dave Lancaster was 1st vet 65 in the Fleetwood Half Marathon in 1 hour 44 minutes and 48 seconds. The race was held in very windy conditions as Storm Lillian battered the Lancashire Coast.

Parkrun

There were 27 runners from the club doing parkrun on Saturday which was two more than the impressive turnout from last week. Beth Lewis came 1st overall at Doncaster in 18.09. It is very unusual for a female runner to beat all the male runners at parkrun or at any other race but this is the 8th time Beth has done it. Dan Cheeseman ran a fast 15.41 to win at Widnes with Ed Brown getting his first parkrun win at a conjested Heslington in 16.48. William Keens was the other parkrun first placer from the club as he again won at Easingwold in 17.34. There were 3rd places for Tim Pattison (18.17 at Cambridge) and Harriet Brown (21.50 at Dalby Forest). There were junior age group wins for Liv Hardy, Noah Stipetic, Wilson Moisey-Smith, Sebastian Brown, Will Hardy and James Hodgkinson. There were veteran age group wins for Jon Blake, Dave Lancaster, Steve Wright and Mike Raynes.
