Track and Field

The final meeting in the Northern Senior League took place on Sunday in Sheffield. The club won the fixture and took the overall league title by the narrowest of margins. The club finished level with Rotherham but took the title by gaining just 10.5 more points across the four fixtures.

Angus McMillan ran 3.47.18 for the 1500m at Stretford on Tuesday, just outside his PB.

Off Track Distance Races

Charlotte Mason won the popular RunforAll York 10k by just over a minute in a time of 35.44. Mike Raynes (40.40), Wesley Possible (41.50), George Summerson (43.47), Hannah Slevin (44.26), Paul Moulton (50.04) and John Farrall (63.44) also took part.

18 members took part in parkruns last Saturday. Emma Ballantyne was first female at Rothwell in 20.05. At Easingwold Kaitlin Keen was the first female finisher in 22.13 whilst her brother William was 2nd male in 18.13. Amy Kennedy came third on the Knavesmire in 19.16 whilst Steve Asquith (17.48) and Jessica Robertson-Dover (20.17) were both third at Heslington. York Junior Parkrun didn’t take place this week due to the York 10k starting and finishing on the Knavesmire.
